Day 9 Of Being Intentionally Thankful – November 9, 2013

Today, I’m thankful for leaf blowers.  The Hubster (this is not him in the photo) spent a good part of the day blowing the fallen leaves out of our yard….for the 5th and final time this year. Did I mention that this job is finished two weeks sooner than usual thanks to an earlier, less than stellar and shorter fall foliage season?

We have 5 very large sugar maples, each being somewhere around 50 – 75 feet tall and very full. Just those trees produce a heap of leaves. But then we also have 2 good sized, fairly full pink  dogwoods and several varieties of flowering and ornamental bushes in our one acre lawn. And we can’t forget the countless trees of varying species in the wood surrounding the outskirts of the grassy areas some 50 plus years old and at least 100 feet tall.  Yes, many of these leaves end up in our yard too.  You can imagine the magnitude of this clean up task if it had to be done with a rake and leaf bags.

So thank you, Lord and the inventors of leaf blowers!

Until next time…..enjoy your at home world and be #IntentionallyThankful
